You're tired
You're away from home
Too tired to walk somewhere
Or maybe too cold
What a nice ambiance for a hotel restaurant. And friendly people and fresh food to boot. -

If you're stuck at the hotel this is an ok option. Service was good and drinks were refilled promptly. The food, however, was rather average. The pasta seemed like it was seasoned with salt and not much else - edible but nothing nuanced, tasty, or anything to write home about. The price was reasonable for hotel food. If you're the type of person who "eats to live" rather than "live to eat" then this will be a fine place for you. If you're a foodie it's a good idea to consider neighborhood alternatives, especially with choices around Greektown.

Horrible service. Been sitting at the bar for over ten minutes without our presence being acknowledged. Way understaffed for a Lions home game. If you're staying in the hotel, it's your only option in the building. Better off buying beer at the front desk and drinking in your room.

Located in the Hilton Garden Inn. Walked in about 930, was told it was last call - might want to change their posted internet hours.
Tomato bisque soup was barely warm, taste was not particularly special, but, surprisingly, was the best part of the meal. Ordered the salmon, was maybe the worst fish I have ever had. The color was way off, grayish. Temperature was similar to the soup, barely warm and it had a very strong odor. Would've expected the chef to catch the odd color and the smell. Unfortunately, the flavor was the worst of it. Perhaps it was freezer burn, not sure, but after trying to muscle through a couple of bites I set it aside.
Server, to her credit, noticed that I barely touched the food. Unfortunately she did not feel empowered to discount or comp the entree. I know places will have their off days, but I didn't feel great about paying $35 for my meal (including tip). Fortunately, the hotel lobby had oatmeal cookies. I filled up on those. -

I am in Detroit for various reason and I stayed at this hotel so I thought that I would checkout the food here but I am sad to report that the food was so-so, not so good and not so bad. My drink was good but i had a Jack and coke so... The service was awesome but I must admit there was only one other person eating there other than me so that could attribute to the fast service.
